The last 18 months have created a lot of change. Some of it we could do without…you know what we’re talking about! But there are high points to this seemingly endless pandemic. We’ve seen them right here at Eagle Express.
We’ve changed a few things to serve our clients even better than before.
Residential Deliveries
The huge shift to remote work might be here to stay. A few years ago, just 5% of folks worked from home. In 2018, that number went up to around 23%. In 2021, it’s estimated that over 56% of workers are working at least partly in remote locations. Some of those are temporary moves, but others got a taste of the WFH life and they’re loving the flexibility and comfort of never stepping foot in the office.
In order to accommodate this shift, Eagle Express added the WFH residential delivery to our repertoire. While we always delivered residentially, now we’ve created specific services that help create connections between remote workers and the central office. We’ll deliver tech, hiring paperwork, or even office supplies. We can transport on a routine basis between remote employees or between employees and the corporate office.
Increased Trucking Services
While we’re couriers at heart, we also offer trucking services for those large or heavy deliveries. Machinery, parts, and even multiple pallets or boxes are all frequently delivered items that utilize our trucking services. Since the onset of the pandemic, our courier requests are down, but our trucking services are more in demand than ever! We’ve made some changes to accommodate these logistics requests. We’ve hired team members (in fact, we’re hiring now!), and we’re bulking up our team of drivers so we can serve even more customers.
Extra Sanitization Efforts
In our forty years of services, we’ve always been sticklers for safety. Since we transport healthcare items and food deliveries, we’re mandated by federal law to keep our trucks clean and sanitized and maintain specific temperatures, among other safety precautions. But with COVID-19, we’ve upped our sanitization efforts to ensure safe transport of every type of delivery.
We’ve also revamped our Eagle Express app. Now, you can manage your logistics on the go. With our state of the art tech, you’ll know exactly where your cargo is and when it’s delivered. This is especially helpful if you’re opting for contactless delivery.
Third Party Logistics Partners
One of the biggest impacts of the pandemic has been employment. Millions lost their jobs, and hundreds of thousands simply chose not to go back to the workplace, even when it was deemed safe. The result is short staffing and folks scrambling for employees.
Eagle Express is here as a third party logistics partner, offering assistance to organizations who don’t have the staff to handle their own supply chain. We provide scheduled deliveries, urgent transportation needs, and even warehousing and fulfillment to assist in inventory management and pick and pack services. We’re filling the gaps in your manpower will our full-service logistics options.
Things sure have changed in the last year and a half. But at Eagle Express, we’re celebrating some of those changes. They allow us to serve our clients with greater care and consistency despite an abundance of chaos.
